{"id":114,"date":"2015-03-02T22:40:48","date_gmt":"2015-03-02T22:40:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/customarchitecture.ie\/?p=114"},"modified":"2021-03-13T12:40:47","modified_gmt":"2021-03-13T12:40:47","slug":"town","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/customarchitecture.ie\/?p=114","title":{"rendered":"Town"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">TOWN is the result of a 2 year research project, carried out with the support of the Arts Council and OPW Kevin Kieran Award 2009-2011. &nbsp;Four case study towns were studied \u2013 New Ross, Longford, Bandon and Westport during the course of the research, which included a morphological study and contemporary analysis. &nbsp;A manifesto for towns is proposed along with 4 specific themes for action entitled&nbsp;Connect, Overlap, Exchange and Accommodate. &nbsp;The research was published with the support of the Heritage Council as <em>Town: Origins, Morphology and Future<\/em> in 2012. The work was also disseminated through a lecture series in rural towns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-0 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex\"><ul
